FedEx Freight is seeking a dedicated Driver to support our freight network by picking up and delivering goods between Service Centers and customers. This position goes beyond transportation; you will actively support the selling process by communicating with customers to determine needs and soliciting additional business. You will serve as a key representative of our brand, demonstrating internal and external customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight.
The role involves driving throughout the shift on all types of roads and in various weather conditions. You will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials shipped under DOT regulations. Hours may vary based on operational needs. The position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, bend, twist, squat, and climb in and out of the truck, as well as lift and carry hand freight weighing up to 100 pounds several times a week.
Candidates must possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements. A one-year experience requirement within the most recent three years is necessary, or successful completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course. All applicants must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Note that the Hazardous Materials endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of offer acceptance.
