About the Role

The Chief of Staff to the CIO serves as a strategic and operational leader dedicated to driving excellence within the IT function and the broader organization. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CIO, this role is pivotal in bridging the gap between high-level vision and day-to-day execution. The position exists to ensure the smooth functioning of the department by managing complex, cross-functional projects and aligning IT initiatives with the company's overarching goals.

In this capacity, you will partner closely with IT leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives. Your day-to-day involves conducting in-depth operational analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, while simultaneously overseeing the development of functional policies and procedures. You will lead the IT Program Management Office (PMO), establishing the governance, standards, and best practices necessary for successful program and project execution. From driving portfolio planning to providing executive oversight of critical, high-impact programs, you will ensure delivery on scope, timeline, budget, and outcomes.

Beyond strategic planning, the role requires fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. You will provide leadership and mentorship to team members, identifying training needs to support their growth. A significant portion of the role involves stakeholder management—building strong relationships with internal and external partners, resolving operational conflicts, and effectively communicating strategies to senior leadership. You will prepare critical reports and presentations, coordinate cross-team inputs for key decisions, and implement consistent methodologies to enable data-driven decision-making through executive dashboards and status reporting.
