Chief Building Engineer

About the Role

As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer, you will lead the Engineering and Technical Services function, performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This role is designed to ensure building machinery and systems not only meet but exceed their rated life while maintaining optimal environmental conditions for clients.

You will serve as a technical expert and leader, responsible for overseeing engineering staff, assigning work orders, and arranging subcontractors as needed. A key part of your day involves consulting with clients to schedule maintenance during downtime to minimize business interruption. You will also apply advanced knowledge to develop new methods for accomplishing department objectives, coach others to build expertise, and influence multi-discipline teams to achieve customer and operational goals.

Hiring Process

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $40/hour and the maximum salary is $50/hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
