Level One Chemline Operators serve as the frontline support for the chemline processing department, ensuring the precise preparation of aerospace parts. In this position, you will perform critical support functions including racking, un-racking, and cleaning production components. A key aspect of the role involves verifying that all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt, and dust are effectively removed using specialized solvent cleaners.
You will work directly under supervision to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Success in this role requires strict adherence to plant safety guidelines and cardinal rules, while collaborating within a team to assist others and meet production standards. Daily tasks include interpreting work orders, reviewing technique cards, and monitoring milling operations to calculate etch rates and modified bath times accurately.
This position is located within an active manufacturing facility. The role requires continuous movement throughout the shop and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. You will engage in hand manipulation tasks, including grasping, pushing, and pulling materials. The environment may expose you to typical shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors, and temperature variations. To ensure safety, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment—including eye and hearing protection and safety shoes—is mandatory.
This role is scheduled for the 2nd Shift, running Monday through Thursday from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am.
