About Chemtrade

At Chemtrade, we deliver innovative solutions focusing on safety, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. We value and respect all our employees, recognizing that our diverse and talented workforce is the heart of our success. By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create fulfilling work experiences for all.

About the Role

The Chemical Operator is an integral part of our production team, responsible for the overall chemical production process at our plant producing Liquid Alum, ACH, and PAC chemicals. This role requires a diverse mechanical ability to perform general plant operator duties, including weighing and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment, and controlling pressure and temperature.

You will be the eyes and ears of the manufacturing process, operating plant equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handling, transporting, and processing chemicals safely. The ideal candidate is attentive and knowledgeable, with a desire to collaborate with other production team members to develop the best processes and products. This position involves operating tank trucks, railcar vessels, pumps, piping, and valves, as well as mobile equipment like backhoes and forklifts.

The working environment is dynamic and demanding, often requiring tasks in ambient temperatures up to 100 degrees while wearing protective gear. You will work in outside elements where radiant heat or cold is normal, and the role includes rotating shifts with the potential for 12-hour days and intermittent 14–16 hour days during emergency operations or repairs.

Our Culture and Commitment to Diversity

At Chemtrade, we are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee. We believe in harnessing the richness of diverse talents, ideas, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to drive our business forward. Our vision is to create a workplace where all individuals feel respected, empowered, and inspired to contribute.

We celebrate multiple approaches and viewpoints, actively encouraging the creation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These groups serve as vital platforms for employees to connect, share experiences, and help shape our inclusive culture. We firmly believe that diversity drives innovation and fuels our success, and we are dedicated to supporting our employees at every stage of their lives to ensure they can thrive both professionally and personally.

Application Process

To join our team, please submit your application through our careers portal. Specific salary details and benefit discussions will take place during the hiring process. We look forward to reviewing your qualifications and potentially welcoming you to the Chemtrade family.
