Woodlawn Meadows is part of CommonSail Investment Group, a family of senior living communities serving Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Tennessee for over 37 years. Our mission is to connect seniors, families, and communities by creating authentic connections and delivering the absolute best experiences every day. We believe in making every minute great, supported by a culture that empowers employees to perform like leaders and prioritize the needs of others above all else.
As a Chef Manager, you will lead the dining operations at Woodlawn Meadows, transforming daily meals into exceptional moments for our residents. This role is more than just food preparation; it is about fostering a warm, hospitable environment where residents feel cared for and valued. You will manage the entire dining experience, from planning nutritionally balanced menus that respect resident preferences and special dietary needs to overseeing the presentation and service of every meal.
Your day will be defined by leadership and collaboration. You will inspire a team of dining services staff through coaching and mentorship, ensuring high standards of hospitality, sanitation, and food safety. Beyond the kitchen, you will actively participate in the community by joining care conferences, resident councils, and food committees, ensuring that the dining program remains a central pillar of resident well-being. You will also coordinate special events and work closely with other departments to create a seamless, supportive atmosphere for residents, families, and visitors.
At Woodlawn Meadows, we do not just "do our jobs"; we strive to create the absolute best experience with every person, in every interaction. We attract dreamers, adventurers, and creators who believe that true happiness is found in the service of others. We treat each other as family, fostering an environment where close collaboration sparks big ideas. We are committed to our core values: living with purpose, accepting accountability, embracing lifelong learning, promoting mutual respect, displaying transparency, appreciating diversity, practicing forgiveness, and being thankful.
We are looking for high-performers with diverse skill-sets and big hearts. If you are passionate about serving others and ready to thrive in a supportive, family-oriented environment, we invite you to apply.
