About the Role
We are looking for a Cheese Utility Operator in Hull, Iowa. This role is designed to develop and maintain a working knowledge of all plant positions to assist with personnel shortages, thereby meeting manufacturing requirements in accordance with organization and customer needs. You will serve as a versatile support within the cheese department, operating every piece of equipment in use and filling in for employees as needed. A key part of your day involves coaching new employees on equipment operations, work procedures, and safety protocols, while also assisting operators with equipment questions, repairs, and training on new techniques. You will monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure all operators conform to production and processing standards, utilizing systems like SAP, MES, and RF guns to maintain operational efficiency.
Compensation and Schedule
This position offers a starting wage of $25.92, with two pay increases within the first year up to $1.00. Additional compensation includes a $1.50 shift differential, plus double time on Sundays and holidays. The role operates on a 2-2-3 rotational schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
