About the Role
Valley Queen Cheese Factory is seeking a Cheese Packaging Associate to support the safe and efficient packaging of American-style cheeses in our modern Milbank, SD facility. This hands-on role is vital to our mission of delivering high-quality products to customers. You will operate and monitor packaging equipment, inspect and wrap cheese, apply labels, palletize product, and record production data while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate, monitor, and adjust cheese packaging and wrapping equipment

- check_circlePalletize, wrap, and stage finished goods for storage or shipment
- check_circleFollow all food safety, GMP, and sanitation procedures and policies
- check_circleComplete basic production documentation and maintain accurate counts
- check_circlePerform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas to meet hygiene standards
- check_circleAssist with minor equipment changeovers and troubleshooting
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedPrior food manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- verifiedBasic food safety or HACCP training a plus
- verifiedForklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- verifiedAbility to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- verifiedWillingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
Nice to Have
Prior food manufacturing or packaging experience. Basic food safety or HACCP training. Forklift certification.
