Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCoordinate and oversee daily clinical operations on assigned shifts
- check_circleAssign and adjust nursing staff based on patient acuity and census
- check_circleProvide direct patient care including assessments and medication administration
- check_circleServe as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff and students
- check_circleFacilitate effective communication among interdisciplinary team members
- check_circleCoordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges for safe flow
- check_circleRespond to and manage emergencies and rapid response situations
- check_circleMonitor compliance with hospital policies and patient safety initiatives
- check_circleSupport quality improvement activities and data collection efforts
- check_circleParticipate in orientation and precepting of new employees and students
- check_circleEnsure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- check_circleAddress patient and staff concerns while escalating issues appropriately
Requirements
- verifiedActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred depending on unit
- verifiedCertification in specialty area (e.g., CCRN, PCCN, or Med-Surg Certification) preferred
- verifiedPrevious leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
