About the Role
This position serves as a critical advisor to departmental revenue owners and staff, ensuring the proper usage of charge codes and the accuracy of medical record analysis. You will be the guardian of revenue integrity, monitoring daily charge capture, revenue reconciliation, and trending data to identify operational opportunities. Your work ensures that services rendered are accurately reported and reimbursed while maintaining strict compliance with state, federal, and third-party billing rules.
In this role, you will partner with Revenue Cycle and IT staff to resolve routing issues, validate diagnoses and procedure codes, and collaborate with analytics groups to conduct internal charge review audits. You will also play a key part in system conversions and implementations, such as Epic upgrades, ensuring that charge entry and capture processes are built correctly for the "go-live" phase. By optimizing processes and coordinating with department leadership and vendors, you help ensure that new procedures are set up appropriately and that staff receive timely education on billing and coding issues.
