Located 75 miles west of Denver in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Copper Mountain Resort is a premier vacation destination featuring three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas. These villages host lodging, retail, dining, and family activities year-round. During the winter, the mountain offers world-class terrain for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. In the summer, the landscape transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and those seeking an authentic Colorado experience. The resort is also home to Woodward Copper, a renowned action-sports camp and training facility.
As a Certified Youth Ski School Instructor, you will be the face of the Copper Mountain Ski & Ride School, dedicated to creating unforgettable memories for our youngest guests. This seasonal role focuses primarily on teaching children and teens between the ages of 3 and 17. You will ensure the best possible experience for every guest by leading group classes while maintaining a focus on individual engagement and progression.
Your day-to-day involves more than just teaching skiing; it is about building confidence and fostering a love for the sport. You will develop a rapport with students quickly, learning their names and welcoming them with warmth before the lesson even begins. Safety is woven into every interaction, treated as a habit rather than a lecture. You will identify different learning styles, adapt your teaching methods accordingly, and manage the class to ensure 100% engagement. As an ambassador of the resort, you will model the mission to "inspire every human being with cool experiences in awesome places," acting as a supportive team member across all departments.
We are seeking enthusiastic PSIA Level 1+ instructors to join our team for the upcoming season. Positions begin in December and run through mid-April. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess at least one season of teaching experience, and be available to work weekends and holidays. A criminal background check will be conducted upon acceptance of the position.
Applications are being accepted until Wednesday, June 3rd. To be considered, all candidates must complete the official application process. We look for individuals who demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for skiing and a passion for educating guests of all ability levels.
