Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- check_circleDevelop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans for surgical and procedural patients
- check_circleAdminister general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists
- check_circleManage airway, ventilation, hemodynamics, fluids, and medications throughout the perioperative period
- check_circleInsert and manage IVs and other invasive monitoring lines as credentialed
- check_circleProvide postoperative pain management and participate in PACU or post-anesthesia rounds
- check_circleAccurately document all aspects of anesthesia care in the electronic medical record
- check_circleParticipate in call rotations and respond to emergency and code situations as needed
- check_circleCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes
- check_circleEducate patients and families on anesthesia plans, risks, and postoperative expectations
- check_circleEngage in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives
- check_circleContinuously monitor patients' physiological status and respond promptly to changes in condition
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent RN license in NC or compact state
- verifiedCertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
