As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team and delivering a distinctive, delightful customer experience. Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy while ensuring strict adherence to state, federal, and company policies. Your presence helps maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient pharmacy environment where patients and customers feel valued and supported.
Your day involves a blend of clinical support and customer service. You will utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and handle cash transactions with accuracy. If you hold PTCB certification, you will also have the opportunity to coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers on system operations.
Customer interaction is central to your role. You will greet patients, offer assistance with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience. This includes modeling best practices like proactive help and maintaining strong relationships with our most valuable customers. Beyond the counter, you may assist with inventory management, handle telephone inquiries, and support clinical services such as collecting patient samples.
