About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you will be the vital link between patients and the clinical team, ensuring accurate and compassionate care delivery. Your day-to-day involves rooming patients, taking vitals and health histories, and documenting findings in electronic medical records. You will assist with minor procedures, administer injections, and prepare patients for physician exams and treatments.

Beyond clinical duties, you will maintain the cleanliness and safety of exam rooms and equipment in compliance with OSHA, DHEC, and UMA standards. You will also manage the flow of patients, assist with scheduling, and serve as a first point of contact by triaging phone calls and communicating care plans. A key part of your role is patient education, where you will explain diagnoses, treatments, and medication instructions to ensure patients understand their health journey.
