About the Role
Park City Surgery Center is seeking a detail-oriented Central Processing Technician to support our high-volume, same-day surgical services. In this fast-paced outpatient setting, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient procedures and excellent patient outcomes by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment.
You will be the backbone of our sterile processing department, working closely with operating room staff to address urgent instrument needs and manage turnover times. Your day will involve operating and monitoring autoclaves, washers, and low-temperature sterilization systems while maintaining accurate records of sterilization cycles and biological indicator results. Beyond technical execution, you will collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and ensure instrument availability for scheduled cases, all while adhering to strict AAMI, AORN, and facility infection prevention standards.
