About the Role
As a Central Processing Technician, you will be the backbone of our sterile processing department, supporting our fast-paced outpatient setting. Your primary mission is to decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment. By maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention, you directly contribute to safe, efficient procedures and excellent patient outcomes.
In this role, you will work closely with operating room staff to address urgent instrument needs and manage turnover times. You will operate and monitor advanced sterilization and washing equipment, including autoclaves and low-temperature systems, while maintaining precise documentation of sterilization cycles and biological indicator results. Your attention to detail ensures that instrument sets and case carts are perfectly assembled according to specific surgeon and procedure requirements.
