CDL Live Haul Driver

About the Role

Live haul drivers are the vital link between poultry farms and processing plants, ensuring the safe and timely transport of birds. This position offers local, home-daily routes, allowing drivers to return home each evening while maintaining a critical role in the supply chain.

Day in the Life

As a 3rd Shift driver, you will operate a truck equipped to transport live birds, adhering to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) safety rules and company policies. Your day involves performing pre-trip inspections to ensure the load is secured properly, maintaining truck cleanliness, and completing all required documentation. You will work in an outdoor environment, often in inclement weather, and navigate around raw, live animal odors. The role requires climbing in and out of the truck cab regularly and sitting for up to 10 hours.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License and at least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with a clean motor vehicle driving record. Selected applicants will undergo on-the-job training before beginning their routes.
