About the Role
The Residential Driver plays a vital role in our waste management operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and courteous removal of solid waste and recyclables for our customers. This position involves collecting materials from curbside and backdoor locations and transporting them to post-collection facilities. The driver is the face of the company on the route, expected to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public and managing assigned helpers.
Working Environment
This is an outdoor role performed 100% of the time, often away from the branch location. Drivers operate in varying weather conditions, including rain, storms, and extreme temperatures, while navigating motor vehicle traffic. The environment can be loud and may involve exposure to humidity, mechanical parts, and airborne particles. The role requires significant physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects, as well as the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces and high-traffic areas.
