We are seeking flexible Class A Drivers who are open to making multi-yard trips to get routes started. This role is ideal for those who relish the chance to push their potential and grow within the US Foods family. You will be responsible for delivering meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to customer drop-off sites. Your efforts ensure customers receive their orders on time, maintaining the productivity and best-in-class service that defines our operations.
This position requires a commute or travel to various assigned yards located in Oregon to begin routes, with times varying based on assignment. Routes may cover multiple yards and alternate on a weekly basis. Drivers will unload products using a hand truck, perform repeated manual lifting of items up to 80 pounds, and verify deliveries with customers. The role also involves collecting payments where needed and delivering products in inclement weather conditions.
The schedule features early morning start times, ranging between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with availability required Monday through Saturday. The average work week consists of 4 or 5 days, and schedules may include weekends. Some local routes may require overnight work. Drivers will receive mileage reimbursement, paid hotel stays for route assignments that require them, and a meal allowance or per diem.
