US Foods is one of the largest food distributors in the industry, known for a culture that promotes from within, offers excellent training programs, and maintains a continuous improvement focus. The company is built on the belief that "YOU Matter," where hard work is rewarded and employees are respected for their dedication.
As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you will be a critical member of the team and one of the most important faces of our organization. You will deliver a wide variety of products—including meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies—to customer drop-off sites. Your efforts form the foundation of US Foods' success, defined by our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
This role is ideal for drivers who are flexible and open to making multi-yard trips to start their routes. You will be responsible for covering multiple yards located in Oregon, with route assignments that may alternate on a weekly basis. As a driver, you will build trusting relationships with customers through integrity and reliability, ensuring best-in-class service by meeting scheduled delivery times and verifying deliveries.
Your day will likely begin with an early morning start time, ranging between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on your route assignment. You will work a schedule that typically spans 4 or 5 days a week, Monday through Saturday, which may include weekends.
Throughout your shift, you will make frequent stops to deliver products, even in inclement weather. A significant part of your day involves unloading products using a hand truck and placing items in the customer's storage area, requiring the ability to perform repeated manual lifting of items up to 80 pounds. You may also be responsible for collecting cash or checks where needed. To support these multi-yard trips, the role includes mileage reimbursement, paid hotel stays for route assignments that require overnight travel, and a meal allowance or per diem.

Please note that registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a mandatory requirement by the Department of Transportation. All drivers must register on the secure online database to provide real-time information regarding drug and alcohol program violations. Registration can be completed at the FMCSA website.
