About the Role

As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you will be a critical member of our team and one of the most important faces of our organization. You will deliver meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to customer drop-off sites. Your efforts form the foundation of our success, defined by our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

This role is ideal for Class A Drivers who are flexible and open to making multi-yard trips to start routes. You will relish the chance to push your potential and grow within the US Foods family. Please note that this position requires commuting and traveling to various assigned yards located in Oregon to get routes started; commute and travel times may vary.

Day in the Life

You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer service and ensuring orders are delivered to meet scheduled times. Your day will involve unloading products with a hand truck, placing items in customer storage areas, and making frequent stops throughout the shift. You will verify deliveries with customers and may be required to collect cash or checks. The role demands the ability to perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds and to deliver products in inclement weather conditions.

Schedule and Compensation

This role features early morning start times, which may vary based on route assignment. Start times generally range between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with availability required Monday through Saturday. The average work week consists of 4 or 5 days, and schedules may include weekends. Route assignments cover multiple yards in Oregon and may alternate on a weekly basis.

Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, specific skills, and geographic location. The expected base rate for this role is between $31.44 and $34.93 per hour, with overtime compensation applicable. Additional benefits include mileage reimbursement, paid hotel stays for route assignment needs, and a meal allowance or per diem.
