As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you will be a critical member of our team and one of the most important faces of our organization. You will deliver meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to customer drop-off sites. Your efforts form the foundation of our success, defined by our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
This role is ideal for Class A Drivers who are flexible and open to making multi-yard trips to start routes. You will relish the chance to push your potential and grow within the US Foods family. Please note that this position requires commuting and travel to various assigned yards located in Oregon to get routes started; commute and travel times may vary.
You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class customer service, ensuring orders meet scheduled delivery times while maintaining productivity. Your day will involve frequent stops, verifying deliveries with customers, and collecting payments where needed. You will unload products using a hand truck and place items in customer storage areas, performing repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds. You will also deliver products in inclement weather conditions.
The schedule features early morning start times, ranging between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with availability required Monday through Saturday. The average work week consists of 4 or 5 days. Route assignments cover multiple yards in Oregon and may alternate on a weekly basis, potentially including weekends and overnight local routes.
