We are seeking flexible Class A Drivers who are open to making multi-yard trips to start routes across Oregon. This role is ideal for those who relish the chance to push their potential and grow within the US Foods family. As a Delivery Driver, you will be critical to our team, delivering meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to customer drop-off sites.
Your day will involve delivering best-in-class customer service, meeting scheduled delivery times, and unloading products using a hand truck. You will perform frequent stops, verify deliveries, and handle cash or checks where needed. The role requires the ability to perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds and to deliver product in inclement weather conditions. Route assignments cover multiple yards in Oregon and may alternate on a weekly basis, requiring travel to various assigned locations.
This role features early morning start times, which may vary based on route assignment. Start times generally range between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with availability required Monday through Saturday. The average work week consists of 4 or 5 days, and schedules may include weekends. Some local routes may require overnight work.
Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, specific skills, function, and geographic location. The expected base rate for this role is between $31.44 and $34.93 per hour. Additional compensation includes overtime pay, mileage reimbursement, hotel costs paid for route assignments that require them, and a meal allowance or per diem.
