About the Team

Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

About the Role

This entry-level driver training role is designed for individuals eager to learn and gain experience driving tractor-trailers or straight trucks on local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes. As a Driver Trainee, you will support America's food distribution system by delivering and unloading various food and food-related products to customers.

You will ride with and assist a driver trainer, executing deliveries while adhering to all company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This position offers a safe and inclusive working environment with a culture of rewards, recognition, and respect. You will function as a vital team member, communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure all services are executed with excellence.

Hiring Process

Candidates must successfully complete the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. The selection process includes a post-offer drug test and a road test to ensure readiness for the role.
