About the Role
As a Part-Time Driver, you will be the face of PODS at customer locations, responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of storage containers. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless experience for our clients, combining operational precision with excellent customer rapport. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism, handling everything from loading and unloading to coordinating rental paperwork and payments directly with customers.
Your day involves maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. You will perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, keep the truck cab clean, and ensure containers are presentable before delivery. Beyond driving, you may operate forklifts or overhead cranes, perform minor field repairs, and utilize handheld computers for verification and navigation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you coordinate with Driver Leads and Market Managers to resolve customer issues and support storage center functions as needed.
