About the Role
This part-time position is responsible for the delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The role focuses on providing an effective, incident-free service while maintaining excellent rapport with customers. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to safely load and unload containers at customer sites, adhering to all safety protocols.
Day in the Life
Your day involves driving and operating a commercial truck, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, and using a company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. You will coordinate rental paperwork and payments with customers, communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding any issues, and prepare driver notes as needed. The role also requires cleaning and inspecting containers to ensure they are presentable, performing field repairs on containers and lifts, and maintaining the cleanliness of the truck cab. Additionally, you may be called upon to provide backup for storage center functions and accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs.
