As a Part-Time Container Delivery Driver, you are the face of PODS at the customer's doorstep. Your primary mission is to ensure the safe, efficient, and incident-free delivery and pickup of moving containers. This role goes beyond simply driving a truck; it requires maintaining excellent rapport with customers while handling their belongings with care.
You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites. Your day involves coordinating rental paperwork and payments, verifying deliveries using company handheld computers, and ensuring every container is clean and presentable before handover. You will also perform necessary field repairs on containers and lifts, maintain the cleanliness of your truck cab, and serve as a backup for storage center functions when needed.
This position typically reports to a Market Manager or Territory Manager. While you work independently on the road, you will communicate regularly with your Driver Lead or Manager to address customer questions and issues, ensuring a seamless experience for every client.
Candidates selected for this role must be available to attend a required two-week New Hire Driver Training Program. For any questions regarding this job posting, please contact the PODS Recruiting Team at Recruiting@pods.com.
