About the Role
As a Part-Time Container Delivery Driver, you will be the face of PODS at customer locations, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of moving containers. This role is essential to ensuring customers have a seamless experience, combining operational precision with excellent customer rapport. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers, while also coordinating rental paperwork and handling payments directly with clients.
Your day involves driving to various customer sites, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining the cleanliness of both the truck cab and the containers. You will utilize handheld computers for delivery verification and navigation, and may be called upon to operate forklifts or overhead cranes. The role requires a hands-on approach to field repairs and the ability to coordinate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager to resolve any customer issues. Additionally, you will provide backup support for storage center functions when business needs arise.
