About the Role
As a CDL-A Trainee, you will train alongside experienced drivers to safely operate late-model equipment and support accurate, on-time deliveries. This role is designed to teach you DOT compliance, route planning, ELD use, and freight handling while upholding McLane's high safety and service standards. You will learn the fundamentals of vehicle inspection, defensive driving, and customer service, progressing from a trainee to a solo driver through ongoing coaching and evaluations.
Hiring Process
Applicants must possess a valid CDL-A permit or the ability to obtain one, maintain a clean driving record meeting DOT requirements, and successfully pass a DOT physical and drug screen. Candidates must also meet McLane's safety and background standards.
