About the Role
As an Owner Operator, you will manage regional Line Haul and LTL freight in Dry Van and Refrigerated trailers. This role offers significant autonomy, with drivers having the option to dispatch themselves. You can expect to average 2,300 to 2,800 miles per week with no driver load or unload duties required.\n Drivers are compensated at 85% of the load rate with the trailer, plus a paid fuel surcharge. The company also offers a free base plate program. While the average gross weekly pay ranges from $7,000 to $9,000, compensation is structured to reward consistent performance.
Home Time & Lifestyle
The typical schedule involves being out for 10 to 14 days, though drivers have the flexibility to stay out longer if they choose. The expectation is to be home for at least two weekends per month.
Hiring Process & Orientation
To join the team, candidates must hold a Class A license without restrictions for Air Brakes, Night Driving, Semi Trailers, or Intrastate-only operation, along with at least two years of Tractor Trailer experience. The maximum truck age allowed is 15 years, and overdimensional trucks are not accepted.
Please note that orientation is not paid and does not cover accommodation, meals, or travel expenses. However, drivers are provided with their own room during the orientation period.
