About the Role
We are seeking a Company Driver to operate our fleet out of our yard in Obetz, Ohio, with plans to expand to a future terminal in the same location. This position is designed for drivers who value stability and equipment quality. We provide the truck at no cost to you; all equipment is company-owned and meticulously maintained.
You will be servicing 47 states, excluding California. During winter months, we actively try to avoid the Northwest states to ensure safety and efficiency. While the work is currently based on customer needs rather than dedicated routes, we are actively working to build more dedicated opportunities. Our sister company, which is logistics-based, will assist in developing these dedicated lanes for our drivers.
A Day in the Life
You will drive 2020 or newer sleeper trucks, handling drop-hook and no-touch freight. The equipment is well-maintained, and if you have secure parking, you may take the truck home. Our dispatch team is forceful yet flexible; we strive to accommodate your needed home time and schedule preferences, provided you are super organized and communicative.
Compensation & Perks
We offer a competitive pay structure with low mileage rates added for fair compensation, capped at a maximum of $1,000 per week. We also provide $200 per day for any breakdown or maintenance occurring on the road. If you are detained at a facility for more than two hours, you will receive $25 per hour. Additionally, if you work on an observed holiday, you will earn $50 on top of your regular revenue.
As a full-time W-2 employee, you will receive comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) with company contribution, medical coverage through Cigna, and vision and dental coverage through Principal. We also offer paid time off and holidays off. We welcome pet passengers, subject to our policies.
Hiring Process
To join our team, you must meet our current requirements, which include having a CDL A license with at least 3 years of experience. You must be at least 25 years old and under 75 (due to insurance regulations). Your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must show fewer than one moving violation in the last two years, and you must have no Drug Test (DT) failures or Controlled Substance (CH) violations in the last 15 years.
