Schneider is seeking an Intermodal Truck Driver to join our team in Olathe, KS. With 35 years of intermodal expertise, we offer the stability, reliability, and long-term opportunity that only a proven, established network can provide. This role focuses on hauling freight containers secured to company-owned chassis, featuring 100% no-touch freight where 90% is drop-and-hook. Drivers will operate primarily within a 200-mile radius of Kansas City, KS, navigating in and out of railyards.
This position is designed to maximize driver efficiency by reducing time spent waiting at loading docks. The route offers daily home time and a schedule that includes driving at night. Drivers benefit from constant support, with leaders and dispatch providing 24/7/365 operational and maintenance assistance. The role utilizes leading equipment and technology specs designed specifically for driver comfort.
As an Intermodal Driver, you will spend your days moving freight rather than waiting. The work involves driving in and out of railyards, handling drop-and-hook operations, and ensuring containers are securely transported. You will attend paid intermodal orientation at a major hub to get started. The schedule is full-time, with opportunities for longevity bonuses and paid time off after six months.
