About the Role

This position is dedicated to the safe transport, removal, delivery, and collection of various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites. As a vital member of the logistics team, you will operate a variety of specialized equipment, including vacuum trucks and box trucks, ensuring that every load is handled with precision and care. The role requires a blend of driving expertise and hands-on involvement, as you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and performing periodic inspections to ensure loads are properly secured and roadworthy.

You will serve as the face of GFL at customer sites, delivering products and paperwork in a courteous and timely manner while maintaining clear communication with the public, customers, and co-workers. The role demands a professional demeanor under stress, the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and the physical capacity to lift 75+ lbs. You will also play a key role in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations regarding the transportation of dangerous goods, ensuring all documentation, such as manifests and bills of lading, is accurate and complete.
