About the Role
As a CDL A Driver Trainee, you will work alongside experienced drivers to learn safe tractor-trailer operation, DOT and company safety standards, route planning, and customer delivery procedures. This role is designed to bridge the gap between your current qualifications and full CDL A Driver status. You will assist with loading and unloading, complete necessary inspections and logs, and support on-time deliveries while receiving hands-on training.
Hiring Process
To join our team, candidates must meet McLane and DOT eligibility and safety requirements. This includes the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. We look for individuals with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with CDL A permit knowledge or active enrollment in CDL school being preferred.
