The Driver, Trainee Component position is designed to help you take your CDL-A career further. In this role, you will learn the essential functions of a Driver, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. As a Trainee, you will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a full McLane Driver.
You will ride and train with a Driver Trainer to various destinations, gaining knowledge of commercial driving regulations while observing skills in starting engines, approaching intersections, making turns, backing, parking, and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, ensuring compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
