Southland Transportation is one of the South East's top trucking companies, offering drivers the opportunity to earn a comfortable income while enjoying time with their families. As a family-owned and operated business, Southland provides the best of both worlds: the technology and service of a large company, combined with the personal touch of a small one where drivers are known by name. The company is financially stable and secure, committed to supporting drivers in balancing their miles with home time.
We are currently seeking Class A CDL Truck Drivers to dispatch from our Boonville, NC terminal to operate in the Northeast Region. Southland offers regional CDL-A runs that allow drivers to return home weekly, or even more often. We are large enough to provide significant earning opportunities, yet small enough to treat every driver as family. This role involves dedicated line haul operations in dry van and refrigerated trailers, with no driver load or unload duties required.
Please note that this position does not include runs in New York City or Long Island.
Southland Transportation is an equal opportunity employer.

Southland Transportation Company is a truck transportation firm headquartered in Boonville, North Carolina, specializing in freight logistics for the automotive and broader industrial sectors. The organization operates a fleet of late-model 53-foot dry vans equipped with QUALCOMM satellite communications to ensure real-time tracking and reliability. Service capabilities include 24/7 dispatch coverage, spotted trailer management, and dedicated resources for large-scale accounts alongside full-service brokerage solutions.
Established in Dobson, North Carolina, the company launched with three trucks and a single owner-operator. Growth was driven by long-standing industry relationships, initially focusing on moving auto parts to Ford and Chrysler manufacturing plants in North Carolina while returning loads of coil steel. This foundation allowed for rapid expansion through the addition of owner-operators and the diversification of service offerings.
Today, Southland Transportation maintains a footprint that spans the lower 48 United States and extends into Ontario, Canada. The company serves a diverse range of customer segments monthly, leveraging an extensively trained driver workforce and modern equipment to manage complex transportation needs across North America.
