About the Role
As a Local Class A Floater, you will work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed. This role involves performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. You will drive late-model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Your day-to-day responsibilities include unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, as well as using scanners to track products as they are delivered.

We offer tons of training opportunities to help you grow, and for most driving positions, you can expect to be home daily. You will be paid every Friday and will represent the brands you serve, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms.
Hiring Process
To join the team, candidates must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes a review of past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. The role is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive; therefore, the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
