At the Hogle Zoo, we are looking for a creative and friendly Catering Jr. Sous Chef to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring that every guest and client receives warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

About the Role

As the Catering Jr. Sous Chef, you will live out 452 Hospitality by delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will work directly with the Sous Chef and Catering Management Team to oversee location kitchen duties, ensuring that quick-service, food service, safety, quality, and merchandising standards are not only met but exceeded.

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of leadership and hands-on operations. You will ensure the kitchen is adequately prepped and staffed, manage safety logs regarding food temperatures and waste, and enforce strict hygiene protocols. Beyond the kitchen, you will play a key role in team development by training new employees, coaching staff on knife handling and safety, and assisting with performance reviews. You will also actively support operations by filling in where necessary, managing daily prep lists, and responding efficiently to guest feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
