Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers with information and identify opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Adhering to all policies and procedures is essential to ensuring store safety and minimizing shrink.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure for the Front End team. This role involves positioning Cashiers effectively and providing direct support by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. As the first point of escalation for customer issues, the Head Cashier plays a vital role in the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates. This includes leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster the professional development of the team. Candidates with one or more years of Cashier experience are preferred for this leadership position.
