Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe interactions. This role is essential for maintaining a positive shopping experience while ensuring operational integrity.
About the Role
As a Cashier, you will process checkout and return transactions, monitor the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. You will adhere to all policies and procedures to minimize shrink and maintain store standards.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support leader, positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role involves serving as the first point of escalation for customer issues and actively participating in the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates. Head Cashiers help develop new Cashiers by utilizing available tools to foster growth and skill development within the team.
