Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers with information and identify opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Adhering to all policies and procedures is essential to ensure store safety and minimize shrink.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure for the team, positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting operations across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role involves approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns, while serving as the first point of escalation for customer issues. Additionally, the Head Cashier plays a vital leadership role by supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including the onboarding and development of new Cashiers using all available tools.
