Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe interactions. This role is essential for maintaining a positive shopping experience while ensuring operational efficiency.
About the Role
As a Cashier, you will process checkout and return transactions, monitor the Self-Checkout area, and actively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. You will adhere to all policies and procedures to minimize shrink and maintain store standards.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure, positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. This role involves serving as the first point of escalation for customer issues and playing a vital part in the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates. Head Cashiers will participate in training new Cashiers and utilize available tools to foster the development of the team.
Qualifications
For the Head Cashier position, the preferred qualification includes one or more years of Cashier experience.
