Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities, all while adhering to policies that minimize shrink.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
The Head Cashier acts as a key support figure, positioning and coaching other Cashiers to ensure smooth operations. This role involves expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions, and managing markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. As the first point of escalation for customer issues, the Head Cashier plays a vital part in the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates, including leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster team development.
