Position Purpose
Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers with information and identify opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Adhering to all policies and procedures is essential to ensuring store safety and minimizing shrink.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
The Head Cashier acts as a key support leader for the Front End team. This role involves positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting critical tasks such as price checks, Point of Sale transaction approvals, and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. As the first point of escalation for customer issues, the Head Cashier plays a vital role in the supervision, coaching, and training of other Front End Associates. This includes leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster the professional development of the team.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Head Cashier position, candidates should possess at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
