Cashiers serve as the frontline of our customer service, delivering fast, friendly, accurate, and safe experiences to every guest. In this role, you will process checkout and return transactions while actively monitoring and maintaining the Self-Checkout area. Beyond transaction processing, you will proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers with information and identify opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Adhering to all policies and procedures is essential to ensure store safety and minimize shrink.
The Head Cashier acts as a key support leader for the Front End team. This role involves positioning Cashiers effectively and expediting critical tasks such as price checks, Point of Sale approvals, and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, the Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. As the first point of escalation for customer issues, the Head Cashier ensures problems are resolved efficiently. Additionally, this position plays a vital role in team development by supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including leading the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to foster continuous growth.
Candidates for the Head Cashier position are preferred to have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
