Family Service Rochester (FSR) is guided by core values that everyone needs to be understood, partnership is a process, everyone desires respect, and partners share power. We believe that everyone has strengths and that judgments can wait. At FSR, employees are considered the greatest asset, and we foster a culture of learning, listening, and growth where staff regularly meet with senior leadership to provide ideas and feedback.
The FATHER Project program is dedicated to delivering services targeted toward fathers to help them overcome barriers preventing them from supporting their children economically and emotionally. The primary goal of the program is to enhance parent self-sufficiency, reduce risk factors for children and families, and improve child and family safety, well-being, and stability.
As a FATHER Project Case Manager, you will partner with fathers experiencing complex challenges, including disproportionality, generational poverty, historical trauma, homelessness, domestic violence, substance use, mental health challenges, and system involvement. In this role, you will collaborate with participants to complete thorough needs assessments and develop individualized fatherhood plans. Your work will involve providing comprehensive support through home visits, navigating community resources, collaborating with service providers, and offering career development services to optimize employment outcomes. Additionally, you will co-facilitate weekly peer support and education groups.
FSR provides a collaborative and safe work environment where all identities are welcomed and valued. The agency leads continuous improvement efforts to understand its own privileges and how they may impact work with others. We are committed to listening to what people need and building better lives together.
Candidates who share our values and desire to listen to community needs are encouraged to apply. Please note that while we offer a competitive compensation program and full benefits, specific salary figures and detailed application steps are managed through our standard recruitment channels.
