About the Role

We are seeking a Carpenter Journeyman to provide skilled craftsmanship for the installation of formwork, finish carpentry, and drywall. In this role, you will study blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensions. You will perform concrete and rough carpentry tasks, including setting walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, slabs, and columns.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include setting door frames, hanging doors, installing hardware, and completing finish carpentry tasks such as toilet accessories, handrails, corner guards, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, and running trim. Success in this position requires the ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, and operate various equipment including table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systems.

Beyond technical skills, you will build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. This role demands a strong teamwork orientation, a positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication, including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback.
