About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Journeyman to provide expert craftsmanship for the installation of formwork, finish carpentry, and drywall. In this role, you will interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensions with precision. Your day-to-day work involves performing concrete and rough carpentry tasks, such as setting walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, slabs, and columns.
Beyond structural work, you will be responsible for setting door frames, hanging doors, and installing hardware. You will also execute detailed finish carpentry tasks, including the installation of toilet accessories, handrails, corner guards, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, and running trim. Success in this position requires the ability to visualize solid objects from drawings, operate various equipment (including table saws, radial arm saws, and form systems), and collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
