This position serves as a vital support pillar within our residential and periodic programs, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work closely with a small group of individuals (typically 4-6 in residential settings) to foster independence, socialization, and personal growth. Your role is defined by a commitment to person-centered care, ensuring that every individual receives support tailored to their unique service plan, preferences, and rights.
You will be the face of our organization in the community, guiding individuals through daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and community integration. Whether assisting with medication administration, managing household tasks, or accompanying individuals to medical appointments, your presence ensures a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment. This role is ideal for someone who values human connection and is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
We maintain the highest standards of care and safety for the individuals we serve. All team members are expected to uphold strict confidentiality, respect the rights of individuals, and adhere to universal precautions. We require a clean background check, including verification against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Child Abuse Registry. Additionally, all employees must complete mandated training and submit to drug testing prior to employment and as required by policy.
