This position is part of the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) Unit, also known as 7 Round Wing, located in Medical Center North. This fast-paced, 22-bed unit specializes in acute medicine for patients aged 65 and older. The population includes patients with various co-morbidities, ranging from neurological and respiratory conditions to cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal, and endocrine issues.
In this role, you will assist with the delivery of patient care and the maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will serve as a liaison for communication and education regarding patient and family needs, while supporting unit operations by maintaining supplies, equipment, and a safe environment. This is a full-time night shift position (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) working three 12-hour shifts per week. Please note that shifts rotate throughout the week based on unit clinical staffing needs, and all new employees are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during their first week.
